The secret to smooth skin lies in the beautiful nature around us. For centuries, the knowledge and use of plant-based oils in skincare has been passed down. Oils were already used for skincare in ancient times.
However, why do many cosmetic products nowadays contain paraffins, microplastics, acrylates or silicones? And what happens to microplastics or titanium dioxide nanoparticles when they enter the environment?
Water and cosmetics
Water is one of the most precious natural resources for both humans and the Earth. It is also essential for your skincare, as your skin needs both lipids and moisture. However, water is often used as a cheap filler in cosmetic products, with traditional creams or body lotions containing up to 75% water.
The problem: the more water there is in the product, the faster bacteria can grow, which is why controversial preservatives like parabens may be necessary.
But water is under threat: Climate change, droughts, and pollution are all significant issues, and cosmetics also play a part. Improperly disposed plastic packaging and questionable ingredients such as microplastics or silicones can all impact water quality.
Our alternative:
Natural cosmetics that protect water
We truely believe that skincare products can be natural, environmentally friendly, and highly effective at the same time.
That's why we don't use water as a filler in our products. Instead, we only use carefully selected high-quality plant-based oils. This makes our products more long-lasting, and we avoid transporting water (in the form of lotions or creams) over long distances. Instead, we recommend applying our oils to damp skin after showering. This way, your skin is nourished with both lipids and moisture.
Our promise:
1% of our revenue goes to water protection projects
We only use high-quality raw materials for our oils, which are produced according to strict organic guidelines. However, cultivation and production naturally require water resources. We try to minimize the impact and support initiatives that work towards protecting water. To this end, at the end of each year, we donate 1% of our total revenue to the following projects:

Stop plastic before it reaches the ocean
By purchasing our products, you are supporting the social organization "The Plastic Bank," which promotes local initiatives for the collection and recycling of plastic. People collect bottles, bags, and plastic containers on the coasts and bring them to recycling stations. There, they can exchange it for internet access, mobile phone charging, or cash.
"The Plastic Bank" has already prevented over 61.8 million kg of plastic - or over 3 billion bottles - from entering the ocean. This is an initiative that we are happy to support in 2023 and beyond!
