we are Thenker and Marek, the founders of Garden of Oils skincare. We have been friends since college and gained our initial professional experience in the drugstore industry, where we sold everything from baby care products to makeup and fabric softeners. However, we only understood some of the ingredients we were selling.

This led us on a search for natural and understandable alternatives. We are now convinced that plant oils are superior to traditional cosmetic products and are a better choice in many ways.

With Garden of Oils skincare, we want to inspire you to embrace the power of natural oils.

  • The beginning

    Do we really need paraffins, parabens, or silicones to feel comfortable in our skin? And why are the ingredient lists (INCI) of facial creams so long and confusing?

    These are the questions we have delved into and explored.

  • The origin

    We understand that there is a natural cosmetics alternative for (almost) every cosmetic challenge. However, the effectiveness of many products is based on lipids (such as oils) and water at their core. So, can it be simplified? We believe so!

    We are fascinated by how effective and easy-to-understand pure oils can be.

  • The future

    Climate change, species extinction, and water pollution: We believe that cosmetics should no longer be part of these problems. We don't want to completely give them up, but rather make them part of the solution.

Did you know that you can use pure almond oil as an alternative to body lotion? Simply massage into the still damp skin after showering. The fats (lipids) in almond oil lock the moisture better in your skin and also give it a wonderfully soft feeling.

All of our skincare products are created in Germany, based on the expertise and knowledge of our team of experts and scientists. In the production process, we prioritize reducing environmental impact, such as by using regenerative energies. We strive to find a balance between functionality and ecology in our packaging choices.

    All of our products follow the COSMOS standard for natural cosmetics, and we are working towards obtaining certification. Of course, we never test on animals!

Cosmetics and water protection?

Skincare not only requires oils, but also water. However, water is a precious and controversial resource in the cosmetics industry. With our products, we aim to promote conscious water usage in the context of skincare.

Not only do we avoid using water as a "filler" in our products, but we also donate 1% of our revenue each year to projects dedicated to protecting water resources.
