Discover the power of castor oil
The castor oil plant ("Ricinus Communis Seed Oil"), also known as "the miracle tree", is used in many different ways in skin and hair care.
It intensively supplies the skin and hair with moisture, vitamins and minerals. It also supports the natural regeneration process of skin and hair, which can, for example, increase hair volume or improve skin quality and complexion. The oil nourishes and soothes dry and irritated skin and can help kill bacteria that can cause skin problems.
What is in castor oil?
Castor oil consists mainly of ricinoleic acid and small amounts of oleic and linoleic acid. It is rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties. It is cold-pressed and produced in organic quality.
How is castor oil made?
The castor bean plant is native to the tropical regions of Africa and parts of Asia. The oil is extracted from the seeds of the "Ricinus Communis" tree. In this manufacturing process, the seeds are hulled and carefully pressed to retain the plant's wonderful properties and effects. The oil is not toxic because the toxic ricin in the seeds does not get into the oil during the pressing process. It has a viscous and clear yellowish color.
What can castor oil be used for?
Castor oil has many uses. It is said to have anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and moisturizing properties. It can be used on the hair, scalp, eyebrows and facial skin.
Suitable for all skin types: especially dry and scaly skin.
How does castor oil work on the skin?
Castor oil moisturizes the skin
Castor oil contains triglycerides. These can help maintain moisture levels in the skin. The triglycerides are also helpful in removing impurities from the skin. Dry skin in particular can benefit from this.
Rich care of the scalp
Care of the eyebrows
Promotion of the complexion and texture of the skin
Helps treat acne
Don't be afraid to put oil on your skin. The essential fatty acids contained in castor oil help to restore the skin's natural moisture balance. The use of castor oil on the face therefore supports the treatment of acne. Due to its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, it is said to slow down the growth of the bacteria that causes acne.
The main properties of castor oil
- Anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and growth-promoting effect
- Provides essential omega-6 fatty acids for healthy hair
- Supports and strengthens hair growth
- Intensive and rich care for scalp and dry and scaly body skin
- Promotes the formation of new healthy skin tissue
- Moisturizing (especially for cracked, flaky and dry skin)
Application
Gently massage the castor oil onto the desired skin area with circular movements. It may take some time for the skin to fully absorb the castor oil. Diluting the oil (e.g. with jojoba oil) in a 1:1 ratio can promote skin absorption.
Important NOTE
Only suitable for external care use and for healthy skin. We expressly recommend testing the castor oil on a small area of skin in advance and observing the skin reaction. If allergic reactions (such as irritation, itching or swelling) appear, you should consult a doctor.
